How It Works

A simple practice of returning

The Four Friends isn't a course to complete or a problem to solve. It's a practice — a way of returning to yourself when the weather gets hard. Here's how it flows.

1

Notice the weather

The first turn is simply noticing. What is happening inside you right now? You don't need the right word — only an honest one.

2

Choose a Friend

Each kind of weather has a Friend who walks with it. The selector guides you there, or browse The Four Turns.

3

Try one practice

Sixty seconds is enough. The practice is not arriving somewhere — it is returning, gently, to ground.

4

Write it down

The Field Journal helps you notice the pattern. Over time, you learn your own weather and your own way home.

5

Build your plan

When you're ready, build a Return Plan for the weather you know comes — so the path is already marked.

"Returning is the practice. Begin again, as many times as you need."
